Maria Vosberg

Position: PROJECT MANAGER

Maria Vosberg is an events and project manager with more than ten years of experience in project management as a nonprofit fundraising professional. During that time she discovered a love for transforming the creative concepts for events and programs into Gantt charts.

Born and raised in Iowa, Maria began her development career at the Des Moines Social Club, an organization aimed at using the arts as a catalyst to create community engagement. When she moved to New York City in 2011, Maria worked for Citizen Schools New York, a nonprofit providing after-school programming in middle schools, where she secured and managed its institutional funding portfolio, including the organization’s $1.3m contracts with the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development.

In addition to her work with Performance of a Lifetime, Maria is the director of strategy and development at The Possibility Project, a nonprofit that empowers teenagers through the performing arts (using many of the same skills as POAL!). There, she develops the organization’s development and growth strategies and manages the implementation of its fundraising campaigns, events, and new initiatives and programs.

Maria is an enthusiastic hobbyist — especially when it comes to music and dance. Her most recent endeavor is learning to play fiddle, and if everything goes to plan, perhaps you’ll find her playing in an Irish trad session at a bar someday.
