A professional actor for over 30 years, Brenny may be best known for spending significant time handcuffed in the back of a meat wagon with all the super-villains on Gotham. She has performed onstage in New York City and regionally, with SoHo Playhouse, Capital Repertory Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Arkansas Rep, Adirondack Theatre Festival, Oldcastle Theatre, Majestic Theatre, Saratoga Shakespeare, WAM, among many others. You’d recognize her if you caught William Kennedy’s Prohibition Story, or in the upcoming feature, Kid Happy (2021). She is a performing member of the Mop & Bucket Improv Theatre Co. As a playwright, her work includes the NYSCA grant winner Catching Babies and holiday favorite Santa’s List.
A longtime educator, Brenny was a classroom teacher, adjunct college professor, and guest lecturer (University at Albany, Siena College, Skidmore College). She created the curriculum for New Visions Theatre Arts, an intensive program for high achieving high school seniors planning a career in theatre, and she taught this program for six years, producing five productions each year. She has been published in English Journal, The Sun, Saratoga County Living, and Journal for Living.
Brenny holds a Masters of Arts degree from University at Albany. She’s a proud member of Actors Equity Association and is represented professionally by Boals, Winnett, and Associates. For a ridiculous amount of information and pictures, you can visit www.brennycampbell.com.
