Gerish Khemani

Gerish Khemani is an award-winning playwright and coach from Mumbai, India. He is a theatre practitioner, educator, and communication coach with over 15 years of experience in the fields of theatre, education, and facilitation. He has been working as a performance coach and role player with both domestic and international corporate professionals across industries, helping nurture empathetic leadership and develop inspiring storytellers. 

As both a theatre practitioner and an executive performance coach, Gerish finds both spaces mutually enriching, often carrying practices from the rehearsal room to classrooms and boardrooms and vice versa. He runs his own theatre company called The Blind and The Elephant in Mumbai, that deploys an extensively physical approach to building ensembles and creating work based on his studies in Devising Theatre at the London International School of Performing Arts, Berlin. He currently serves as a visiting faculty member at the Drama School Mumbai, one of the premier acting and theatre-making schools in India.

Gerish identifies himself as a perennial “seeker” and considers his yoga mat and books his most essential companions on this journey of self-realization.
