As a facilitator and coach for the past 10 years, Connan Morrissey takes what she has learned onstage and in the rehearsal room and translates these communication skills to business professionals at all levels. Leading and facilitating workshops focused on improvisation, negotiation, building client relationships, making difficult asks, and establishing trust, Connan’s skills garnered from 25+ years as an actress, director and playwright build her clients’ confidence and authenticity in the workplace. Connan has also worked one-on-one with C-suite clients as they craft their stories into effective, clear and powerful presentations.
Acting credits include leading roles in new and classical plays at regional theatres across the country, such as Arena Stage, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Asolo Theatre Center, Folger Theatre and Peterborough Players. Additional education and work experience includes a BS in nursing from the University of Cincinnati, and five years as a floor nurse at Christ Hospital where she received a Daisy Award for exceptional patient care.
Connan holds an MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and when she isn’t passionately rooting for the Tarheels and the BoSox, she is always diligently seeking a superior bowl of mushroom ramen with extra bamboo shoots and the perfect ramen egg on top please.
