For the last ten years, James has been helping people communicate more effectively utilizing his training and studies at the Gestalt Centre London. He trains and coaches people up to Board and Partner levels in the financial services, pharmaceutical, retail, energy and construction industries, and the public sector. In addition to being a performance coach, James is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming master practitioner and coach.

After graduating from Oxford, James was an actor for ten years, mostly with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Always fascinated by communication and psychology, he also worked with companies offering training through the use of actors in simulations and developed a passion for experiential learning: we learn above all through practice, not theory.

His biggest passions are nature — hiking, environmental campaigning, photographing — and music, from Beethoven to Radiohead.  What he can’t abide — especially at World Cup time — is football.

James is surrounded by women: his partner, Flora, their twin four-year-old daughters, and their cat, all nestled in a cottage deep in the Devon countryside, South West UK.
